GAOLS - GOALS - GOALS
Setting a goal or goals for the sake of setting them is problematic. Knowing what you're after is really the point, and below I explain very clearly the two parts of goals setting.
“What are you after” – these are your goals. For example: a healthy weight, a loving relationship, financial security, etc.
“The desired outcome” – this is what you envision will happen (or how your life will be) once you attain a particular goal. For example, the “desired outcome” of achieving a healthy weight might be winning the love of your life, fitting into your old jeans, or being able to walk up hills – or maybe all three. [Keep in mind it is not enough to just name a goal. You need to fully understand the reasons you are seeking that goal, and you need to visualize how your life will be once you attain that goal.]
